Refund policy


***Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges***
We do our very best to make sure every customer is happy! If you've changed your mind about your order or you're unhappy for any reason, we can accept returns and exchanges (refunds only for orders outside the US.)
Should you have a problem with your order, please contact us at hello+sam@picturethisclothing.com to initiate the process. 

You must contact us before shipping your order back, so we know it's coming.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of the tracking number's "Delivered" date. Please contact us within 14 days of order placement if you would like to return or exchange any of the items in your order. 

If tracking indicates that your order was delivered after your return window closed or within a few days of that, we can be flexible on some circumstances; please email us so we can work with you on it. If 20 days or more have passed, it gets a whole lot tricker and less likely that we can accept a return or exchange.

We do not refund shipping on orders, and you are responsible for the return postage. If exchanging, we'll happily cover the cost of shipping the replacement back to you. Once you return or exchange any item from any order, the whole order is considered a final sale, and no further exchanges or returns may be made on remaining items (if there are any).

Exchanged items can only be exchanged once. 

Returns and exchanges must be postmarked within a 14-day window of the "Delivered" timestamp. If an order is shipped back to us outside of the 14-day window, the order is subject to return rejection and may be mailed back to you. 

Please include a note in your shipment with your request (return, exchange, etc.) and include your original order number. 
We highly recommend getting tracking on your return. 
We can only guarantee refunds or exchanges on missing packages that have tracking information marked as "delivered."
Human beings deliver mail, we send and receive a lottttt of mail, and human beings make mistakes. 
Mail can easily go missing or be misplaced. This is an easy way to avoid frustration. Even if we can't find the package you sent us or the package you sent was misdelivered by a postal worker and marked as "delivered" to our address-- we can honor your return/exchange if you have tracking.

We do not offer returns on goods that are worn (for more than just the purpose of trying on), washed/dry cleaned, or violate any of the below information in the Cleaning and Restocking Fees section.

International orders marked "Delivered" but not received
International orders may require tax/VAT or other fees upon delivery. These fees are separate from shipping fees and are the responsibility of the order recipient.
1. Check and confirm the shipping address entered at the time the order was placed.
2. Look for notices requiring payment of tax or VAT to receive order
3. Talk to neighbors to see if the parcel was mis-delivered. This happens more than you might think.
4. With your tracking information, contact your local Post Office or courier chosen to ask about the package.

We are not obligated to refund or reship any order marked DELIVERED that is claimed missing. 

International orders can be returned within seven (7) days of when the order is marked as delivered.

We do not offer exchanges on international orders. While we accept returns on international orders, the customer is responsible for the following:

  1. Email us to let us know your order number, what you're returning, and the reason for the return.
  2. Choose your return method (our system is not able to create prepaid return labels, the cost of the return is the customer's responsibility.)
  3. Once your return is received on our end, we will then process the refund.

Cleaning and Restocking Fees
We reserve the right to charge cleaning fees and restocking fees on returned goods. If your item is returned to us with dirt and debris (i.e., deodorant, excessive pet hair, etc.) that we can not easily clean off without taking it to be cleaned-- you will be notified, sent images, and refunded the price of the items minus a 20% cleaning fee. If your item just has lint, etc. you would NOT be charged a cleaning fee. The cleaning fee is only for goods that we have to take in to be cleaned before they can be resold. 

If your item comes with any bodily fluids, blood, etc., your item will be returned to you, and the order will be considered final sale and unreturnable. If your item is returned with strong odor i.e., cigarette smoke, etc., it will be returned to you and considered a final sale/unreturnable. If you are returning $300+ in goods (before any applicable discounts), you will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Fees can be combined and compounded on top of each other if a large order is returned and in unsaleable condition. You would be notified beforehand, so you'd have the option to just take the goods back rather than incur a potential 45% chargeback fee. There's never been an instance when we've had to charge the 45% fee, but we need to have a policy in place, just in case, because you just never know.



GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are non-refundable, but you may transfer/give them to someone else.
Also, due to NV state law (where the Sam Barsky clothing store/Picture This Clothing is operated), Gift Certificates expire 5 years from the date of purchase. If you have a gift certificate that has expired, please reach out to customer service for assistance; please include the gift certificate code or order number. If your Gift Certificate has expired, we reserve the right to reset it at partial value (-$5.00 USD for every 30 days beyond expiration.)

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Clothing with obvious signs of use (pilling, washed, excessive wear)
- Any item not in its original condition, that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Refunds to credit cards typically take 10-15 business days to reflect on your statement.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet: 
First, double-check your bank account.
Second, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Third, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all three of the above items and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at hello+sam@picturethisclothing.com.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular-priced items may be refunded, sale items are considered final. If you used a discount code to purchase your item, you will be refunded the discounted rate.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello+sam@picturethisclothing.com and send your item to:
